Counseling

Van Wig Elementary has a school counselor on site who works with students, both on academic needs as well as social emotional needs. Mrs. Torres, our school counselor is starting her second year with van Wig as a counselor but she was also a teacher at Van Wig before she became a counselor at Bassett HS. She comes with a wealth of knowledge and has a very good rapport with the students.
